It can be too easy to focus on the day-to-day operational challenges of a Children’s Hospital without finding time to step back and consider how similar challenges are being addressed by others.
As two heads are better than one, it pays dividends to come together with peers on the topics of the day. Better still, that conversations are data-led.
Civil Eyes Research (now part of the Real World Health) saw this need and obtained, with UK Children’s Hospital, sponsorship for the UK datasets needed to provide performance improvement visibility.
how it works
Workshops are scheduled annually by the steering group to cover members’ hot topics. Each workshop is expertly facilitated to ensure learnings are distilled and shared in a safe environment.
Benchmarking insights are derived from a curated Insights Portal, which combines HES (England) and equivalent data from the rest of the UK.Members can drawdown ad-hoc further insight from Real World Health analysts, e.g. to support service redesign and investment.
Peers and industry leads are invited to workshops to volunteer best practice and stimulate rich discussions. Workshops are also used to update on topic legislation, practice and reporting changes.
Receive after each workshop a succinct briefing paper that captures learnings, best practice and further information sources. Access historic resources via the Network’s MS Teams channel or use the channel to collaborate with other members.
Access the user-friendly Benchmarking Insights Portal at any time via one-click login. Utilise its inbuilt user guide to self-serve or alternatively seek support from a Real World Health analyst.
Choose to be actively involved in topic selection by joining the Club’s steering group. Alternatively, wait to vote with peers on the steering group topic long list.
